Glyfada Golf Course
The history of the Glyfada Golf Course begins in 1960, when the Municipality of Glyfada leased an area of 530 acres to the EOT (the Hellenic National Organization of Tourism) for the construction of a golf course in the coastal area, which was covered with pine trees, dunes and low and dense wooded vegetation.

Taking advantage of the natural beauty of the landscape (natural creek, seaside view), the renowned golf architect Donald Harradine built an 18-hole golf course in 1962, which(still exists today. Harradine had many new trees planted along the fairways, mainly pine trees native to the region. bridges over the creek at the 1st, 9th, 15th and 16th holes crossed by golfers carrying their carts.
